| A fire retardant is a chemical compound that hinders or prevents an existing fire from spreading although it can also prevent fires from starting in the first place. It is extremely beneficial in buildings in which large groups of people congregate for any purpose. |
| The fire retardant compound that we use is nontoxic and allergen free making it completely safe. We disperse the fire retardant in a water-bases solution so that when it has dried and cured, it will be completely colorless and odorless. The fire retardant can be detected, however, by specialized ultraviolet lights. |
| Advanced Flameproofing and Cleaning Corp.’s fire retardant can be applied to both natural and synthetic surfaces since it meets or exceeds the criteria for a “Class A” rating. Our fire retardant can only work on most absorbent surfaces and some that will allow the compound to “stick”. The compound can be applied to many different items, including but not limited to carpeting, drapes, upholstery, and paper. However, it is important to note that if the surface does not allow the compound to attach itself, the protection will not work. |
